Two good stories, One brush with death (not literally), and a suprise ending

So this story starts on a cold day east of edmonton. Several U of A students were using an EDM total station (surveying equipment) but their time to use it had run out. whether this had occured to them or not im really not sure. so out walks the professor to get the EDM so others can use it. so he gets there and just loses it. hes yelling and screaming and the guys are trying to appologize but to no avail.
now this story starts on a sunny day east of edmonton. Several U of A students were throwing around the football cuz they had an awesome group that worked quick and got everything done early. So one especially intelligent, good looking, and strong student catches the ball and starts to throw it. The problem is he is just so strong so he overthrows his fellow student. normally this would not be a problem, the student would jsut run or walk back and get it. the problem was that the student was near the parking lot. it shouldnt be a big deal, a football doesnt hurt cars too bad. another problem was that the ball was heading into the parking lot. it shouldnt be a big deal, most of the vehicles belong to students and arnt that special. another problem, the nearest car is an AUDI. so the brilliant, attractive, burly stucent watches as the ball lands not 2 feet from the audi. but no sighs of relief yet, what do balls do? thats right, they bounce. So balls bounce, what does a football do? thats right bounce unpredictably in crazy directions. so what does this football do? well it bounces up at towards the car, is above the hood, and lands on the other side of the car. That is right, bounced directly over the hood and landed on the car WITHOUT hitting it.
So there are the stories, now the brush with death. well it is kind of a combination of the two stories. As im sure you all guessed, i am the appealing, egghead, mighty student. So i did use my inhuman strength to sail the ball over my friends head and bounce it over an audi. but now you are wondering how that is combining the stories for that is just one story. but if you take the instructor who was in the field (note: i wasnt accually there during the screaming but i heard it was funny), give him a set of keys (and a hat) with "audi" on them, and that would pretty much finish the story. I didnt accually remember this until a bit after the event, but the owner of the audi I bounced a football over was the yelling freaking out instructor. luckely for me he wasnt there to see it and i also didnt hit.
now for the suprise ending. i think the story in itself is a great one, the sharp, mighty, bewitching student (myself) getting lucky by not hitting the car and also by not having the instructor seeing it. now for the great ending, the ending does not lie in the story, but in the time. Im sure all you supersticious people out there think the plantes were aligned or i was knocking on wood the whole time or rubbing a rabbits foot or something but no. the day friday. no biggie, but its the date that is important (to supersticious people). thats right, it happened on Friday, May 13th. and also withing the last week i rollerbladed underneath a ladder leaning up against a building. so PTHHHH to all you supersticious people out there.
Moral of the story: Friday the 13th's badness is a hoax

PS my girlfriend was born minutes after a friday the 13th and im lucky to have her

Hmmm I am commenting,
I agree, the 13th is a hoax.
This one time I was playing in discovery zone on the 13th and found like a million game tokens and I found Waldo (he was hidden in the tunnels) so got a bunch more. What a great day. Did you know lots of hotels don't have a floor thirteen, I had never noticed that before. Wow weren't those great stories. I should post comments more often.

I think you just were able to rollerblade under the ladder because it was you. I think I could have rollerbladed 5 feet away from it and it still would have managed to hit me.
But, I do agree, I usually have good luck on friday the 13th. And I am kind of wondering what this discovery zone is??? It sounds like fun and I want to play (so long as there aren't any ladders involved). I always thought waldo was pretty cool.

its a party and a half, all these tubes and tunnels and balls lots of balls sooo cool, but I think I might have a bit more trouble manuvering around in them now that I am old. Sorry Jeanine, there are some ladders involved. really good times though.
